Romania

Romania, a nation of almost 19 million people, sits at the crossroads of many countries in Europe. It borders 4 countries including Ukraine and Bulgaria, and has a presence on the Black Sea.

Bucharest is the capital and largest city of Romania. As of the 2021 census, its population was slightly over 1.7 million. It sits on the banks of the Dâmbovița River.

It commemorates the coronation of King Ferdinand and his wife Marie and Romania's victory in the First World War.
