We landed in Bangkok, Thailand close to midnight on the evening of 21 February, 2013. After almost 21 hours of flight time from Washington, DC, with a stop in Seoul, South Korea, we were both dead to the wind. Total mileage: 9,228.
After recovering overnight – as our biological clocks were really thrown out of kilter, we made our way out on the town. What we discovered quickly is that many entrepreneurs of Bangkok would like to enrich themselves – at your expense. So our learning curve had to incrementally jump. We did survive the first day with most of our bhat in our pockets.
