The Melk Abbey is a must-see when visiting Austria. The town of Melk is only about an hour by car from Vienna. The Abbey has incredible frescoes on the ceilings of many rooms, and the exterior is a brilliant mustard yellow. The town and the surrounding countryside are quite charming also.
